La SEC ha presentado una solicitud de prórroga en su caso de apelación en curso contra Ripple Labs, buscando adelantar la fecha límite para su escrito principal al 15 de enero de 2025.
Esta solicitud fue revelada por el abogado defensor James Filan en un correo en X. Los expertos legales, incluido el abogado pro-XRP Fred Rispoli, han fijado que el caso podría durar hasta 2026.
El momento de esta solicitud coincide con la tan esperada presentación del Formulario C de Ripple, que se espera que arroje luz sobre qué partes del fallo de la jueza Analisa Torres Ripple pretende apelar.
Eleanor Terrett, periodista de FOX Business indicado que se esperaba que el Formulario C se presentara hoy, pero hasta el momento no se ha materializado.
Las maniobras legales en curso de la SEC han sido seguidas de cerca por la comunidad criptográfica, y muchos especulan sobre las razones de estos retrasos.
