La adopción de criptomonedas se mantuvo constante en EE. UU., Reino Unido, Singapur y Francia desde 2022, a pesar de las recientes caídas del mercado, según el “Informe sobre el estado global de las criptomonedas 2024” de Gemini.
El estudio revela oportunidades de crecimiento al recuperar propietarios anteriores y atraer nuevos inversores, ya que más del 70% de los propietarios anteriores de criptomonedas indican que es probable que compren criptomonedas durante el próximo año.
Además, aproximadamente el 65% de los propietarios actuales compran criptomonedas con una estrategia de crecimiento a largo plazo. En particular, incluso soportaron la caída de la capitalización total del mercado de las 100 principales criptomonedas en 2022, que cayó de 2,7 billones de dólares a 830 mil millones de dólares.
Alcista con mayores
La mayoría (57%) de los propietarios de criptomonedas se sienten cómodos haciendo de las criptomonedas una parte importante de su cartera de inversiones.
Además, un promedio del 62,5% de los encuestados cree que los precios de Bitcoin (BTC) y Ethereum (ETH) seguirán subiendo durante los próximos cinco años, mientras que un promedio del 55% cree que hay más razones para ser alcistas en 2024 que en el criptoinvierno de 2022.
El optimismo también es significativo en cuanto a la adopción de las criptomonedas, ya que el 60% de los encuestados compartieron su creencia de que muchas empresas aceptarán las criptomonedas como forma de pago en la próxima década.
La actividad de venta disminuye mientras el comercio continúa
La actividad de venta se ha desacelerado y el 75% de los propietarios anteriores abandonaron el mercado hace más de seis meses.
“El porcentaje de inversores que vendieron sus criptomonedas en los últimos seis meses es menor que el porcentaje que vendieron hace más de un año. Esto indica que muchos están manteniendo sus activos digitales a medida que el mercado se ha calentado este año”, se lee en el informe.
Además, más de uno de cada cuatro (29%) de los inversores en criptomonedas dijeron que la razón por la que vendieron sus criptomonedas fue que perdieron dinero en sus inversiones.
En EE. UU., Reino Unido y Singapur, el 46 % de los encuestados intercambian activamente criptomonedas para obtener ganancias, mientras que el 34 % lo hace en Francia. La cobertura de inflación motiva al 34% de los encuestados de EE.UU. y el Reino Unido y a más del 40% en Francia y Singapur.
Panorama cambiante en EE. UU.
En EE. UU., el 37 % de los propietarios de criptomonedas mantienen algunos de sus fondos a través de un ETF, y el 13 % posee criptomonedas exclusivamente a través de este método.
Además, por primera vez, las criptomonedas se han convertido en un tema importante de campaña en una elección presidencial de EE. UU.: el 73 % de los encuestados propietarios de criptomonedas consideraron la postura de un candidato sobre las criptomonedas al votar y el 37 % de ellos respondieron que la posición de un candidato presidencial sobre las criptomonedas sería tener un impacto significativo en su voto para presidente.
