El fundador de TechCrunch, Michael Arrington, reveló la noticia en un correo en X, diciendo: “Este trato está cerrado. 1.100 millones de dólares”.
Bridge, cofundada por Sean Yu y Zach Abrams, proporciona herramientas de software que permiten a las empresas aceptar pagos en monedas estables. La plataforma permite a las empresas crear, almacenar, enviar y recibir dichos activos.
Zach Abrams anteriormente se desempeñó como Jefe de Consumidores en Coinbase y fundó la empresa de pagos entre pares Evenly, que luego fue adquirida por Square. Antes de cofundar Bridge, Sean Yu ocupó puestos clave de ingeniería en importantes empresas como Coinbase, Square, DoorDash y Airbnb.
A principios de este año, la startup recibió 58 millones de dólares en financiación de destacados inversores, incluidos Sequoia, Haun Ventures, Ribbit e Index Ventures.
