Arkham Intelligence, una plataforma de seguimiento de datos blockchain, lanzará un intercambio de criptoderivados el próximo mes, según Bloomberg. informe.
“El intercambio estará dirigido a inversores minoristas y buscará competir con plataformas como el intercambio de cifrado más grande del mundo. binance”, dijo Bloomberg citando a una persona familiarizada con la iniciativa.
La nueva plataforma de derivados de Arkham, que atenderá a sus 880.000 usuarios activos mensuales, tiene como objetivo apuntar a inversores minoristas y competir con gigantes de la industria como Binance. Sin embargo, los clientes estadounidenses no podrán acceder a la plataforma debido a restricciones regulatorias.
La empresa, respaldada por el fundador de OpenAI, Sam Altman, se está trasladando a la República Dominicana, con el objetivo de aprovechar la zona de libre comercio del país y sus políticas fiscales favorables.
Según fuentes familiarizadas con los planes de la compañía, Arkham pasó el último año desarrollando la tecnología del intercambio. Esto marca un momento crucial en el que la empresa busca hacerse con una cuota de mercado en el creciente sector de derivados, que representó el 71% de la actividad del criptomercado en septiembre, alcanzando un volumen de operaciones de 3,07 billones de dólares.
A pesar de que las acciones regulatorias disminuyen el dominio del mercado de Binance, otros actores como Bybit y OKX siguen siendo contendientes importantes. El desafío de Arkham será acceder a este lucrativo mercado evitando al mismo tiempo los obstáculos legales.
Además de su plataforma comercial, Arkham se ha centrado en esfuerzos de marketing, incluido un acuerdo de patrocinio de 1,8 millones de euros con el club de fútbol turco Galatasaray, aumentando aún más la visibilidad de su marca. Mientras el intercambio se prepara para entrar en funcionamiento, se informa que Arkham está recaudando 100 millones de dólares de inversores de Medio Oriente para escalar la empresa.
