ENS, el token de gobernanza del proyecto Ethereum Name Service, subió un 7,5% a 17,8 dólares después de que PayPal y Venmo iniciaran el soporte para los dominios de Ethereum Name Service.
ENS cotiza actualmente a 17 dólares, un aumento de alrededor del 3% en los últimos 7 días, según MonedaGecko.
ENS Labs dijo el martes que los dos gigantes de los pagos digitales han integrado ENS en sus plataformas, lo que permite a más de 270 millones de usuarios en EE. UU. transferir criptoactivos utilizando nombres de ENS simples en lugar de direcciones de billetera largas y propensas a errores.
“Esta nueva característica lleva el poder de ENS a millones de personas, haciendo que las transferencias criptográficas sean más fáciles y seguras que nunca, comenzando en los EE. UU.”, el equipo fijado.
Al funcionar de manera similar al Servicio de nombres de dominio (DNS) de Internet, el Servicio de nombres Ethereum emplea una arquitectura descentralizada impulsada por la seguridad y transparencia de la cadena de bloques Ethereum. El enfoque proporciona una forma fácil de interactuar con direcciones de Ethereum y aplicaciones descentralizadas.
La adopción tiene como objetivo simplificar las transferencias y reducir el riesgo de errores o pérdida de fondos utilizando nombres legibles por humanos. También se espera que la medida mejore la experiencia del usuario, especialmente para aquellos nuevos en el mundo de las criptomonedas.
Para enviar criptomonedas, los usuarios solo necesitan ingresar el nombre ENS del destinatario directamente en la barra de búsqueda de pagos en PayPal o Venmo; la plataforma recuperará automáticamente la dirección de la billetera vinculada a ese nombre de ENS.
Además, los nombres de ENS se guardan en la libreta de direcciones del usuario para facilitar futuras transacciones, afirmó ENS Labs.
“Puede guardar y recuperar los nombres de ENS y las direcciones de billetera más utilizados para realizar transferencias aún más rápidas”, destacó el equipo.
Khori Whittaker, director ejecutivo de ENS Labs, dijo que la integración llevará las capacidades de denominación de ENS a millones a través de las plataformas Venmo y PayPal.
