Sin embargo, el director global de capital institucional de Polygon Labs cree que este mercado debería crecer entre 50 y 100 veces para que los actores tradicionales empiecen a preocuparse por él.

Butler destaca que mil millones de dólares para empresas como BlackRock “no es nada”. Interoperabilidad y privacidad
Algunos de los jugadores que tokenizan bonos del Tesoro de EE. UU., como Franklin Templeton, Ondo y Swarm, utilizan actualmente la tecnología Polygon. Roger Bayston, director de activos digitales de Franklin Templeton, dicho que Polygon permite que su fondo tokenizado sea compatible con blockchains basadas en Ethereum, funcionando como una puerta de entrada.
Butler subrayó este papel de la tecnología Polygon y agregó que AggLayer desempeñará un papel importante en la unificación de la liquidez para diferentes instituciones financieras tradicionales que ingresan a la industria blockchain.
“Podemos conectar liquidez en múltiples cadenas a través de una capa de agregación utilizando tecnología de conocimiento cero, creando así liquidez unificada en todo el espacio blockchain y asentándonos en Ethereum. AggLayer, abreviatura de Aggregation Layer, es una fase en la hoja de ruta de Polygon donde diferentes cadenas de bloques de capa 1 se conectarán tocando la misma capa. En consecuencia, varias redes podrán comunicarse sin problemas, que es algo que buscan la mayoría de las instituciones que ingresan a la industria blockchain.
“Eso es lo que veo actualmente en el centro de todas estas conversaciones. Esto es lo que considero actualmente como el estándar para las finanzas tradicionales y la conectividad para las transacciones financieras”, añadió. Este es también uno de los mayores desafíos para Polygon actualmente, ya que deben evitar que la liquidez quede atrapada en diferentes silos sin conectividad.
