Sergey Nazarov, director ejecutivo de Chainlink, analizó recientemente el potencial de nuevas oportunidades de tokenización que prometen mejorar la eficiencia transaccional y la gestión de activos.

Casos de adopción y uso de tokenización
La tokenización implica convertir los derechos de un activo en un token digital en una cadena de bloques. Esta tecnología permite la liquidación atómica: las transacciones se completan instantáneamente en lugar de tomar días. Además, permite una gestión más eficiente de las garantías, eliminando el tiempo que los activos están en el limbo y mejorando el uso financiero del capital.
“La capacidad de gestionar activos y moverlos de una manera más eficiente, ya sea teniendo un mercado 24 horas al día, 7 días a la semana, 365 días al año, o una mejor gestión de garantías, resuelve una parte importante de los problemas transaccionales y de gestión de activos”, afirmó Nazarov.
Una innovación notable en la tokenización es la creación de un disco de oro unificado. Este enfoque integra los derechos de propiedad con los datos de los activos en un único registro.

Tradicionalmente, la gestión de activos y la verificación de datos operan de forma inconexa, lo que requiere un gran esfuerzo para determinar la solvencia o las obligaciones de deuda de un activo. Con la tokenización, estos detalles están disponibles en el recibo de propiedad, lo que reduce significativamente el riesgo y la complejidad involucrados en la gestión de activos.
“El nuevo modelo que se está introduciendo ahora, el modelo de un disco de oro unificado, es la capacidad de fusionar los derechos de propiedad y los datos sobre el subyacente en una sola cosa: contratos inteligentes, que contiene los datos relevantes y se actualiza constantemente”. explicó Nazarov.
Según Nazarov, la tokenización completa del valor, desde las acciones hasta el capital privado y las materias primas, es inevitable. Él cree que este es un cambio que ocurre una vez cada 50 años en la forma en que se formatea y gestiona el valor. También enfatizó la transición de registros digitales y en papel a contratos inteligentes basados en blockchain.
Chainlink ha colaborado con importantes instituciones financieras como JPMorgan y Franklin Templeton para trabajar para llevar datos completos y en tiempo real a las plataformas blockchain.
Estas colaboraciones tienen como objetivo demostrar la viabilidad y los beneficios de la gestión de fondos en cadena.
